MY
JOURNEY

I started photography in 2004, picking up my first Nikon DSLR to keep myself busy during a three-month stretch of military technical training. Back then, I had no idea what I was doing, but I experimented with portraits, weddings, senior, and family photos. As I moved deeper into my military career, I found myself shooting less—yet always found joy capturing nature whenever I could.
Throughout the years, I worked to keep my skills sharp, even as life got busier. After retiring in 2018, I began exploring new creative styles and improving my editing, cropping, and lighting techniques. Over the past few years, I’ve become passionate about the unique perspectives offered by drone photography. I’m FAA Part 107 certified, and working with drones has truly reignited my love for image-making.
I still take on occasional family sessions, wedding shoots, or senior photos, especially for those racing towards a yearbook deadline or newly commissioned cadets from USAFA starting joint spouse assignments. My rates vary by event, but if you have a compelling story and found your way here, I’m happy to help.
